9KINGZ

An award-winning short film and proof of concept now being expanded into a full-length feature.

9Kingz is a short film conceived as the foundation for a larger feature. Its visual identity draws on Northern Nigerian postal imagery and contemporary British storytelling, establishing a world designed to grow beyond the short-form film.

The film is written and directed by Obi, with festival listings crediting director Obiekwe Chukwunwaedu Ogugua. Chance Wilson and Obi are credited as producers, with Jack Masterson and Max Giwa as executive producers.

In 2026, the project received three independently verified festival wins across Los Angeles and Hollywood, alongside an attached Toronto International Film Awards official-selection laurel.
